Task 5 Writing literary pieces through Tar Heel Reader

Tar Heel Reader is a collection of free, easy-to-read, and accessible books on a wide range of topics. You have to write your own book using pictures from the huge collection at Ficklr, or pictures you upload.

The steps are the following ones:
  • Click on https://tarheelreader.org/ and then on "Write a book". You will be asked to Sign in, so click on it and then in "Register" (since you do not have an account yet).
  • Fill in all the information, and make sure that in "Registration Code" you write "Literacy!" (without the quotation marks).
  • Once you are in, the webpage shows you all the steps that you have to follow in order to create a book, so look for your pictures, order them as you want to, and write a short sentence in all of them.
  • When you finish, give it a title, choose "English" language and click on "Publish".
  • Once you have it, copy the URL and paste it in this task, in a comment.
