Task 3 Human Rights! ... for everyone?

The subject of Human Rights is one of the most relevant issues in the United Nations. It is celebrated on December 10th.

Now, let's watch a video that summarizes the story of Human Rights.

After watching the video, answer the following questions:

1. What are Human Rights?

2. What types of Humans Rights appear in the video?

3. Why are not Human Rights valid in a court of law?

4. Do you think Human Rights are the same for everyone in the world or do they change depending on the country?

5. Do you think Human Rights are achieved nowadays? Why?

6. Do you know any leading figures in the fight for Human Rights?

Now, let's move on to our group task...
  • You will work in groups of 4 people each.
  • Each group will choose a Human Right's leading figure (you have their names below, in "Resources").
  • Consult the information about them using the links in "Resources".
  • Each group will create a 'Draw my life' video about the most important facts of the celebrities (you have an example below).
  • Once you finish your video, upload it to YouTube and copy-paste the link in this task, in a comment below.
